A Pop protector is a clear outer case that fits around a collectible's retail box. Choosing one starts with the box size, then the material, wall thickness and finish. This guide explains those choices and how POP JUNKIE ZERO 0.7mm protectors fit into a boxed collection.

What size protector do I need?

Match the protector to the retail box, not just the character or franchise. “4-inch Funko Pop” describes the figure format; it does not mean the protector is four inches tall.

POP JUNKIE ZERO is designed for standard boxes containing a single 4-inch Funko Pop figure. Oversized figures, multipacks, Pop Rides and other non-standard boxes can require different cases. If your box has an unusual shape or size, check compatibility before ordering and never force it into a protector.

0.7mm vs 0.5mm: what does thickness tell you?

Wall thickness is the thickness of the plastic sheet. A 0.7mm sheet is 0.2mm thicker than a 0.5mm sheet: a 40% increase in thickness. That figure describes the material thickness only; it is not a claim of 40% greater strength or impact resistance.

Thickness is one part of the design. Fit, folds, corners and closure also affect how a protector forms around a box. ZERO uses 0.7mm PET walls with precision-cut edges and locking tabs to help maintain a tidy, square display.

Folding PET protector or hard stack?

ZERO is a folding PET case supplied flat-packed. It forms around the collectible's original box and keeps the artwork visible through clear panels. A moulded hard stack is a different style of case. Choose the format that suits the box and how you plan to handle, store and display it.

Understanding the ZERO finish

  • Clear PET: transparent panels let you see the figure, box artwork and stickers.
  • Anti-scratch treatment: a factory-applied surface finish that is ready to use, with no protective film to peel away.
  • UV and IR filtering: filtering in the material helps reduce the effects of light exposure.
  • Precision fit: carefully cut edges and locking tabs help each case form neatly around a compatible box.

Anti-scratch treatment does not mean scratch-proof. Light filtering does not eliminate fading or heat damage. Display collectibles away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat.

How to assemble a POP JUNKIE ZERO protector

  1. Remove one flat-packed case and gently open it along its folds.
  2. Form the base and secure the tabs into position.
  3. Slide the compatible boxed figure into the case without forcing the corners.
  4. Close the lid and secure its locking tabs.

No peel-off film needs removing. The cases are designed to form in seconds; take your time when fitting a collectible box.
